Bronny James, son of LeBron James, suffers cardiac arrest during basketball practice at USC

Bronny James, the son of NBA star LeBron James, suffered a cardiac arrest during basketball practice at the University of Southern California on Monday. He is currently in stable condition and no longer in the intensive care unit.

The 18-year-old is an incoming freshman for USC’s basketball team after graduating from Sierra Canyon High School in Los Angeles this spring. He is a four-star recruit who shined in the McDonald’s All-American Game in March.

A family spokesperson released a statement saying that Bronny “suffered a cardiac arrest” during practice and that “medical staff was able to treat Bronny and take him to the hospital.” The statement also said that Bronny is “now in stable condition and no longer in ICU.”

The spokesperson asked for privacy for the James family and said that they would provide updates when more information is available.

LeBron and Savannah James also released a statement thanking the USC medical and athletic staff for their “incredible work and dedication to the safety of their athletes.”

This is a scary situation for the James family, but it is good to hear that Bronny is in stable condition. We wish him a speedy recovery
